Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while providing essential mental health services. While our practice primarily follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evening shifts may be required to accommodate patient needs. The use of telehealth technology enables you to engage with clients in a collaborative and efficient manner, effectively bridging the gap between mental and physical health care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that consider the interplay between psychiatric conditions and medical issues, ensuring an accurate understanding of each patient’s unique situation.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities, addressing both mental and physical health needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, leveraging a variety of therapeutic techniques to support diverse patient backgrounds and challenges.

• Collaborate closely with medical providers within the integrated care framework to ensure coordinated treatment plans and achieve optimal health outcomes for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and mental health support, assisting patients during emergencies with timely and effective assistance.

• Educate patients on the connections between their mental and physical health, empowering them with the knowledge needed to manage their conditions proactively.

• Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system for efficiency.

• Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and collaborating with colleagues to enhance patient care and outcomes.

• Remain current with best practices, research advancements, and innovations in integrated mental health care to continually enrich your professional practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals facing chronic medical conditions, autoimmune diseases, and substance use disorders. Your role will involve tailoring therapeutic approaches to accommodate the complexities of their co-occurring mental and physical health needs, ensuring that you contribute effectively to their holistic recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure in the state of Washington as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

• Demonstrable proficiency in providing mental health care for individuals dealing with co-occurring medical conditions.

• Experience delivering integrated care and collaborating with medical teams to optimize patient outcomes.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary for effective patient interaction and building rapport.

• Ability to uphold professional boundaries while adhering to ethical guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and general computer applications to facilitate effective documentation and information sharing.

• Proven capacity to thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of direct mental health counseling experience, with a focus on integrated care settings.

• Demonstrated experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Background working with patients dealing with chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use issues is a significant plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
