Clinical Systems - Applications Administration Job Summary The Ambient Assistant Analyst provides hands‑on support for the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of AI‑powered documentation solutions across the health system. Responsibilities include system troubleshooting, user training, workflow adaptation, and technical issue resolution of moderate scope and complexity. The analyst collaborates with clinical staff, IT teams and external vendors to ensure AI assistants function effectively and meet provider needs. The role involves collecting and organizing user feedback to support continuous improvement of adoption and system usability. Working closely with healthcare providers, IT specialists and operational teams, the analyst gathers feedback, identifies workflow challenges and supports system enhancements that improve efficiency and provider satisfaction. The position requires a strong foundation in technology deployment, problem‑solving ability, and a customer‑service mindset. Department Description The Health AI team at UCSF Health is responsible for the strategy, deployment and oversight of artificial intelligence solutions across the health system. The Ambient Listening Program is a key initiative within this team focused on implementing AI‑powered scribe solutions to enhance clinical documentation and streamline provider workflows. Required Qualifications 3 years relevant work experience Broad and/or in‑depth knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty area(s). Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and address technical or workflow challenges. Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage productively with clinicians, IT staff and operational stakeholders. Detail‑oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and see projects through to completion on deadline. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of clinical applications users in a specific, clear, and concise manner. Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data and produce substantive reports and analyses. Preferred Qualifications Ability to analyze data trends, compile reports and support decision‑making for program improvements. Experience supporting health IT deployments, including EHR integrations (Epic preferred) and AI‑based technologies. Benefits Salary range: $102,100 – $187,600 (Annual Rate).
