Peace of Mind Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time remote position is designed for professionals holding a current license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey. In this role, you will assess clients’ mental health conditions, develop personalized therapeutic plans, and guide individuals through various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments during initial sessions to evaluate clients’ mental health status and treatment needs.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and client goals.
• Provide ongoing individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing culturally responsive approaches tailored to each client’s background.
• Facilitate referrals and collaborate with external healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive client care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR system to comply with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Utilize crisis intervention strategies during sessions when clients present with acute challenges or emergencies.
• Engage in continuous professional development, including participation in workshops and training sessions offered by the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client base that includes individuals of varying ages and backgrounds. Many clients seek support for issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. Our therapeutic approach is person-centered, focusing on building strong relationships and fostering trust, enabling clients to explore their mental health challenges in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience working with diverse populations.
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders, cultural competence in therapy, and familiarity with diverse treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in delivering therapy in virtual settings and utilizing EHR systems effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing teletherapy services, adapting therapeutic techniques for remote delivery.
• A demonstrated ability to create and facilitate group therapy sessions.
• Knowledge of community resources and support services available for mental health concerns.
• Training in trauma-informed care and additional certifications in specialized therapeutic approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
