Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments that consider the diverse backgrounds and individual experiences of clients.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring they resonate with the cultural and personal identities of patients.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions focused on promoting resilience, healing, and improved mental wellness.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to provide coordinated care that benefits clients holistically.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during acute mental health episodes, demonstrating the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and resources within the community that may assist their recovery process.
• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation in compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Actively engage in interprofessional team meetings and participate in ongoing training to enhance cultural competency and best practices in mental health counseling.
• Remain updated on current mental health research and integrate relevant findings into clinical practices.

Our counseling services cater to a wide range of individuals, where you will have the opportunity to work with clients from various backgrounds, including those facing the challenges inherent in ethnic and cultural minority communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and first-generation immigrants. Understanding and embracing their unique experiences is vital in delivering effective mental health care.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment techniques that prioritize cultural competence.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy, employing inclusive and culturally responsive methodologies.
• Solid crisis intervention skills with the aptitude to manage challenging scenarios and maintain professionalism.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport across diverse populations.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, with an understanding of technology tools that facilitate remote counseling.
• Commitment to uphold ethical guidelines, maintaining professional boundaries, and ensuring client confidentiality at all times.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations in a community health setting.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and online therapeutic tools.
• Track record of engaging in continuous professional development, including attending workshops and seminars on cultural competence and innovative therapies.

Compensation and Benefits
