A rapidly growing, highly respected specialty trade contractor is looking for a driven, hands-on accounting professional to manage the company's end-to-end financial operations. This fully confidential role bridges field operations with financial oversight, making it a critical position within the organization. salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Financial Reporting: Direct the entire accounting lifecycle, including journal entries, accruals, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations, and the preparation of monthly/yearly financial statements.
• Job Costing & WIP Management: Oversight of labor, equipment, and material cost allocations across various project phases. Track cost-to-complete metrics, run over/under-billing analyses, and manage percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Systems & Data Integration: Serve as the financial expert for our field operations software (ServiceTitan), ensuring seamless data flow, accurate chart-of-accounts mapping, and routine reconciliation between field management tools and the general ledger.
• Operational Accounting & Compliance: Oversee accounts payable, receivables, cash flow, and payroll reconciliations (including commissions and spiffs). Coordinate sales tax compliance and assist with external reviews, surety bonding needs, and audits.
• Cross-Functional Analysis: Partner with field management to review project margins, investigate expense discrepancies, and provide actionable financial insight to leadership.
