Development Manager

We are partnering with a leading global law firm, to expand their technology operations. As the firm embraces AI tools and low-code platforms, the demand for custom-built solutions continues to grow. They are seeking a Development Manager to lead the execution of custom development and integration projects across enterprise platforms. This role will focus on technical leadership, solution design, team development, and disciplined project execution, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-quality delivery of technology solutions that support the firm’s attorneys and staff worldwide. Key Responsibilities Lead and grow the development team, scaling capabilities as firm needs evolve. Manage workloads across custom applications, platform development, and integration projects. Own sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and capacity management across internal and contracted resources. Coordinate project intake with the IT PMO to ensure accurate scoping and prioritization. Maintain and optimize core development platforms, recommending tools that improve reliability and performance. Track and report development metrics (throughput, quality, capacity utilization) to support planning. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align development resources with platform needs. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience managing software development teams. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices (sprint planning, code reviews, testing, release management). Hands-on experience with enterprise platform development and administration (CRM systems, custom applications, integrations). Experience in professional services, legal, or partnership-driven environments preferred.
