Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Project Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Brownwood, Texas .


Overview


This role involves managing facility renewal projects, including HVAC, roof replacements, piping, and other infrastructure improvements. The position requires technical understanding of facilities and project management experience, with an emphasis on large infrastructure projects in industrial and manufacturing environments.


Responsibilities

• Execute the annual capital expenditure plan by delivering infrastructure projects such as HVAC replacements, electrical upgrades, roof replacements, and major equipment installations.
• Manage all phases of project delivery from design development through construction closeout and commissioning.
• Oversee contractors and construction teams to ensure work meets specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Control project budgets and schedules, proactively addressing issues to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate project activities to minimize disruption to facility operations and building occupants.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders for technical accuracy and cost impact.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control throughout construction to verify compliance with plans and specifications.
• Manage project closeout, including punch lists, as-built documentation, warranty collection, and final acceptance.
• Track capital spending against approved budgets and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in project management, with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and roofing systems.
• Experience managing large infrastructure projects in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong technical understanding of MEP systems and facility operations.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with project management in industrial or plant settings.
• Background in operations or trades within heavy industrial or manufacturing industries.
• Ability to coordinate between multiple project environments, including office/lab and plant settings.
• Proficiency in managing budgets, schedules, and client-facing communications.
