Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct Initial Assessments: Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations, documenting findings accurately from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop Customized Treatment Plans: Based on assessments, create individualized intervention strategies that cater to the specific needs of clients, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups.

• Facilitate Therapy Sessions: Lead both individual and group therapy sessions remotely, employing evidence-based techniques that encourage client engagement and progress.

• Monitor Client Progress: Regularly assess and document client advancements, ensuring that treatment strategies align with evolving needs and goals.

• Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to create an integrated approach to client care.

• Manage Referrals: Provide clients with appropriate referrals as necessary, ensuring continuity of care and addressing various psychological or behavioral issues.

• Family Support: Assist family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges encountered by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from children and adolescents to adults facing various mental health challenges, such as depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and addiction issues. You will be working with an array of backgrounds and cultures, requiring sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Successfully passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, preferably in a remote telehealth setting.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A comprehensive understanding of the impact of medications and common mental health disorders.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate approach to counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
