Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans for patients experiencing functional limitations and disabilities.
• Provide detailed consultations to healthcare providers regarding each patient's continuum of care to ensure seamless access to services.
• Deliver evaluations and treatments that integrate best practices; interpret findings, implement treatment protocols, and educate patients and families on ongoing care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment progress, evaluations, and discharges in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration by maintaining effective communication with a wide network of physicians, referral sources, and treatment team members.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including attending staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education programs.
• Supervise assigned support staff, guiding their professional growth and contributing to overall departmental efficiency.
• Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives to promote the services offered at the rehabilitation center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Your expertise will help facilitate their rehabilitation journey by guiding them through tailored therapeutic exercises, functional training, and pain management strategies. You will interact with a diverse patient demographic, ensuring that care is respectful and culturally sensitive.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in word processing and electronic health records.

Preferred Experience

While experience in orthopedic physical therapy is preferred, new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds and a commitment to professional growth are welcome to apply.
