Work Environment

The work setting is onsite within our modern rehabilitation facility, which is designed to foster an effective therapeutic environment. You will collaborate with two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA) to ensure a supportive and well-coordinated approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring movement and reducing pain.
• Maintain a patient load of one patient per hour, allowing for thorough assessments and treatment sessions that address individual patient needs.
• Employ various therapeutic techniques and modalities, including exercise prescription, manual therapy, and patient education to achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide detailed documentation of services rendered for compliance and continuity of care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation processes, fostering a positive and empowering atmosphere.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to the patients' treatment and overall well-being.
• Engage in community outreach and wellness education initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles and injury prevention.
• Research and implement best practices in physical therapy to enhance treatment outcomes and maintain the clinic's high standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who are experiencing musculoskeletal issues, often those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Our clinic prides itself on serving a diverse patient base, mostly covered by private medical insurance, which allows for tailored care that meets the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required.
• Must hold an active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing effective, evidence-based exercise regimes.
• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to ensure efficient documentation and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a private practice setting, particularly focusing on orthopedic care.
• Adept at using a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions to maximize patient outcomes.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment while also being able to function independently.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 90,000 and 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive health benefits.
