Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated, full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team specializing in orthopedic outpatient care. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding patients on their journey to regain motion and optimize their functional capabilities. With a small, close-knit team consisting of experienced physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), we pride ourselves on our personalized approach to patient care. Work Environment

This position is full-time, requiring onsite presence at our Burke, VA facility. You will be working in a collaborative environment from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, engaging with a supportive team that includes fellow physical therapists, a PTA, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. The clinic fosters a professional atmosphere where you can focus on delivering exceptional therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each patient, utilizing evidence-based techniques.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, seeing one patient per hour to ensure personalized attention and care.
• Demonstrate strong manual therapy skills and a proficiency in orthopedic physical therapy techniques.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and adjust care plans as necessary, based on patient progress and feedback.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to each patient's rehabilitation.
• Document all patient care services thoroughly and maintain accurate records to support continuity of care.
• Implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to enhance patient strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall health.
• Encourage patients to achieve maximum functional independence and motivate them throughout their recovery process.
• Educate patients and their families on the best practices for injury prevention and wellness promotion.
• Stay up to date with the latest research and therapeutic practices in physical therapy and orthopedic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population consists of adults experiencing a range of orthopedic conditions, from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic musculoskeletal pain. As such, your role will involve working with patients recovering from injuries and surgeries, utilizing techniques that minimize reliance on medications and exploring effective non-surgical treatment options. This patient demographic appreciates a personalized approach, seeking not just recovery, but also enhancement of their overall functionality.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Burke, VA, with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy and exercise prescription, along with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, and the ability to document patient interactions efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills to educate and motivate patients on their recovery path.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, enhancing your ability to deliver targeted rehabilitation.
• A strong understanding of evidence-based practices and treatment modalities related to orthopedic physical therapy.
• Prior experience working independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
