About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing public accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with 3—5 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working directly with clients, and is eager to build a long-term career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare individual and business tax returns

· Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close

· Review bookkeeping for accuracy and proper coding

· Analyze financial data, including revenue recognition

· Prepare sales tax returns

· Support payroll processing

· Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve issues

· Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

· 3—5 years of public accounting or related experience

· CPA or EA (or pursuing) preferred

· Strong understanding of debits and credits

· Experience with reconciliations and month-end close

· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Suite

· Ability to learn new software quickly
