Sign Language Interpreter

Position Overview:

• Provide accurate one-on-one interpreting support for students, ensuring effective communication between students, educators, and peers.
• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, meetings, school events, and student interactions using American Sign Language (ASL) and other appropriate communication methods.
• Collaborate with educators and support teams to promote accessibility, student engagement, and academic success.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Educational Interpreter Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher required
• Completion of a sign language interpreter training program or equivalent education
• Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience interpreting in educational settings
