Shape the future of special education in a dynamic contract role supporting virtual school students. Work directly from the district office alongside dedicated leadership to provide essential services for approximately seven students.
The position requires 10 to 20 hours per week through June 11, 2027, focusing on delivering personalized instruction and support within a unique virtual learning environment. Your expertise will have a direct impact on students who thrive with guided, customized education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher licensure
- Proven experience teaching in virtual, online, or blended classroom settings
- Strong understanding of specialized instructional techniques and IEP compliance
- Ability to collaborate effectively with school leadership and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to special needs students within the virtual school program
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with the Special Education Director and support staff
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure cohesive support for each student
- Maintain timely records and uphold strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to student data
