This is a hands-on role supporting the company's day-to-day accounting operations and working closely with accounting leadership. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working independently, and interested in taking on additional responsibilities as the company continues to grow.About the OpportunityJoin a stable and steadily growing financial services organizationFully onsite position in PittsburghHands-on role with a broad range of accounting responsibilitiesWork closely with accounting leadership and gain exposure to various areas of the businessOpportunity for professional growth and increased responsibility over timeCollaborative and professional work environmentBookkeeper ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor invoices, payments, client billing, and depositsMonitor daily bank activity and assist with cash management, transfers, and depositsPerform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain accurate financial recordsThe Bookkeeper will prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger activity and month-end closeAssist with financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reportsPerform basic variance analysis and research discrepancies to help identify and resolve accounting issuesSupport 1099 preparation, payroll-related payments, expense reimbursements, and other accounting activitiesThe Bookkeeper will build and maintain Excel templates, formulas, and PivotTables to improve accounting processes and reportingIdentify opportunities to streamline recurring processes and leverage technology and AI tools to improve efficiencyAssist with special accounting and operational projects as neededQualifications for the Bookkeeper RolePrevious bookkeeping or accounting experience requiredStrong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger activityQuickBooks Online experience requiredStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and PivotTablesStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProfessional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle confidential financial information with discretionInterest in process improvement, automation, and using technology to improve efficiencyFinancial services, professional services, or family office experience is a plusWhy Consider This Opportunity?This is an excellent opportunity for a Bookkeeper who wants to take ownership of a broad range of accounting responsibilities rather than focus on one area of the accounting cycle.
