Assistant Teaching Professor

Overview Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Georgetown University invites applications for a two one-year, full‑time, non‑tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor to begin in August 2026. Responsibilities The teaching load is 4 courses per semester of Spanish language and culture, with teaching and advising responsibilities at the undergraduate level. Additional responsibilities include departmental service. Qualifications A Ph.D. in Spanish or a related field is required prior to the appointment start date. Candidates must have a specialty in Literature, Cultural Studies or Linguistics in Spanish, be native or near‑native in Spanish, and demonstrate a strong promise of excellence in teaching.
