Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients experiencing mood disorders to assess symptom severity, frequency, and duration.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique goals and preferences of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate progress in clients.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote overall wellbeing.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed based on therapist observations and client feedback.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care for clients, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to ensure quality care.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to continue learning and improving your practice.

• Advocate for the clients’ needs to combat mental health stigma and help them access necessary resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, including those with complex histories such as domestic abuse survivors, homeless individuals, and refugees. By employing a strength-based approach, you will help clients navigate their circumstances and improve their mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards the experiences and challenges faced by clients.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively handle administrative tasks alongside client caseloads.
