As an Accounting Manager, you're not just overseeing the hotel's financial operations – you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.Here's what you'll do during a typical day:Oversee general ledger and financial reporting: Reconcile General Ledger accounts, review discrepancies, and guide team members in resolving issues to ensure accuracy and complianceProvide reporting oversight: Ensure accurate processing of financial reports, including month-end closing, monthly forecasts, and variance reportsControl budgets and inventory: Track and manage inventories and operational expenses to maintain cost controlSupervise payroll processing: Oversee timekeeping systems, weekly payroll submissions, gratuity calculations, and monthly payroll auditsHandle financial transactions: Ensure proper processing of received checks, calculate daily deposit transmittals, and maintain financial recordsInspire and develop the team: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build, retain, and engage a high-performing teamWhat It Takes to Make the StayAt Hilton, our core values define what it takes to succeed here and guide the qualities we look for in every team member:A passion for spreading the light and warmth of Hospitality.
