Assembler IThe Assembler I performs basic mechanical assembly work to manufacture products in a cost-effective and timely manner while meeting established quality standards. This role involves validating materials before starting work, reviewing detailed work instructions, and building products according to specifications and required tolerances using drawings, schematics, hand tools, and power tools. The position is highly repetitive and focused on consistent, accurate manufacturing output.ResponsibilitiesValidate and confirm that all materials are correct and available prior to starting assembly work.Review and follow written work instructions, drawings, and schematics to perform assembly tasks accurately.Assemble products according to specifications and within defined tolerances to meet quality standards.Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical assembly operations.Perform repetitive manufacturing tasks with attention to detail and consistency.Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safety requirements.Follow all established manufacturing processes, procedures, and quality guidelines.Contribute to meeting production goals by working efficiently and supporting overtime needs when required.Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with materials, instructions, or product quality.Adhere to all safety rules, including proper use of required protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear.Essential SkillsAt least 6 months of manufacturing experience.Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and perform mechanical assembly tasks.Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and schematics.Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or assembly environment.Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.Strong attention to detail to ensure products are built within specified tolerances.Reliability and willingness to support overtime as needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsInterest in progressing through multiple assembler levels (Level 1–3) as skills and experience grow.Comfort working in a structured, process-driven manufacturing environment.Ability to work assigned shift schedule (Monday–Thursday with regular Friday overtime).Why Work Here?Employees work in a brand-new, climate-controlled facility that supports comfort and productivity throughout the year. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday, with first shift running from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and second shift running from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Regular overtime is typically worked on Fridays for about six hours, with the possibility of longer shifts when needed. The role involves frequent use of hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly in a repetitive production environment. Steel-toe footwear is required as part of the dress code to meet safety standards on the production floor.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Watertown, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.75 - $22.25/hr.
