Position Overview

My client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a high-performing accounting team in Irvine. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the month-end close process (3-day close cycle)
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
• Support financial statement preparation and reporting
• Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and efficiencies
• Analyze variances and provide insights to management
• Participate in system and process enhancements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years of accounting experience (public accounting a plus)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Experience with general ledger and full-cycle accounting
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

• CPA designation
• Exposure to derivatives or trading environments

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $100,000 – $110,000
• 10% annual bonus (historically paid)
