We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant Consultant to join our team and support a growing Residential real estate portfolio. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with deep experience in Residential Real Estate, reconciliations, and Yardi/MRI.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant Consultant to join our team and support a growing Residential real estate portfolio. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with deep experience in Residential Real Estate, reconciliations, and Yardi/MRI.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Complete full cycle accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
- Perform detailed variance analysis and provide commentary to asset management and leadership teams.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of all financial data.
- Lead operating expense reconciliations for residential properties.
- Review leases to ensure accurate interpretation of expense recovery clauses.
- Partner with property managers, asset managers, and leadership to support operational and financial goals.
- Respond to auditor requests and assist with year-end audit processes.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of property accounting experience, preferably in Residential (Multi-family) real estate.
- Strong Yardi experience required
- Solid understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
