This position is benefit eligible.Position SummaryThe Payroll Coordinator in a long-term care facility is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. This role involves managing timekeeping records, coordinating with HR and department managers, ensuring compliance standards within state and federal regulations, and maintaining confidentiality. The position plays a critical role in supporting staff satisfaction and retention by ensuring timely and accurate compensation.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdminister end-to-end payroll for staff through Payroll Processing System, using current HRIS systemReceives, sorts, and distributes payroll checks, pay stubs and other processes related toEnsure accurate payroll data through collaboration with leadership on new hires, terminations, and changesCommunicate with company leadership to ensure accuracy and integrity of the payroll data including new hires, terminations, changes, and assist with any updates/corrections, as necessaryResolve payroll-related employee and manager inquiries, including PTO, taxes, garnishments, and direct depositsMaintain payroll records, generate required reports and conduct payroll auditsConduct payroll orientation for new hires, including time clock training and managementTrain and advise leadership on payroll policies and best practicesHandle wage verificationsStay current with federal and state payroll regulations and implement changes as needed.Lead various payroll projects and system enhancements, contributing to cross functional initiative and continuous improvement effortsReconcile benefit invoicesCollaborate with NJ division Payroll Coordinators to improve workflows and provide backup support when neededMaintain ACA complianceSupport the Human Resources Department in projects as assigned by the Human Resources ManagerMaintain strict confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll and employee informationPerform additional duties as needed in support of department and organizational goalsPosition QualificationsBachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent years of experienceMinimum of 3 years of relevant payroll experience preferredExperience in a healthcare environment preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel and Office ProductsStrong technological skillsAbout Us:Weisman Children's is a highly-acclaimed, community-based pediatric organization consisting of an acute care rehabilitation hospital, outpatient rehabilitation centers, and medical day care centers.
