Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct brief individual therapy sessions for clients enrolled in the Functional Restoration Program (FRP), monitoring and evaluating their clinical progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

• Perform comprehensive assessments that inform effective, individualized treatment planning for your active caseload.

• Implement clinical care practices based on the latest research in pain psychology, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Utilize an integrated therapeutic approach, particularly for clients facing chronic pain or trauma, promoting holistic healing.

• Establish and nurture trusting relationships with clients and their families, while actively collaborating with healthcare professionals and support staff.

• Exercise sound clinical judgment while working with patients, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.

• Adopt an attitude of excellence, demonstrating commitment to providing quality patient care in every interaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work as an LMFT at Methodist Therapeutic Clinic will primarily involve serving individuals and families grappling with various psychological disorders, relationship issues, and the complexities of life transitions. You will be expected to apply your expertise to empower clients, helping them to replace dysfunctional behaviors with healthier coping strategies, especially in populations facing chronic pain and trauma.

Qualifications\n

• Active and valid license in the State of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing mental health services
\n
• Understanding of HIPAA and privacy laws to maintain patient confidentiality

• Demonstrated coaching abilities to guide patients toward positive behavioral changes
\n
• Strong verbal communication skills to effectively counsel and motivate individuals
\n
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for developing and executing effective treatment plans

• Organizational skills to maintain and update easily navigable patient files and documentation

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with chronic pain management and trauma-informed care is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with integrated therapeutic methods that encompass both psychological and physical health.

• Previous experience in a health-related setting, particularly in outpatient services.
