Work Environment\n

This is a full-time remote position, enabling you to manage your time effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Although primarily remote, you will occasionally collaborate in our outpatient office located in Wichita, Kansas. This work setting allows for flexibility and autonomy while still providing opportunities to engage with clients and team members directly.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough ongoing assessments to evaluate and address the mental health needs of clients, tailoring strategies to each individual’s unique circumstances.

• Maintain clear communication among supervisors, direct care staff, family members, and guardians about client progress and necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
\n
• Prepare and share a tentative schedule of appointments, home visits, and observations with supervisors to ensure consistency and quality monitoring of client care.
\n
• Coordinate and conduct home visits to fulfill observational requirements, including chart reviews and staff interviews, to enhance our understanding of each client’s environment.

• Ensure that implemented treatment plans are effective, continually refining strategies based on client feedback and clinical expertise.
\n
• Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and other collaborative discussions to contribute insights and strategies for comprehensive client care.
\n
• Document monthly and quarterly progress notes, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards while delivering transparent insights into client advancements.
\n
• Organize training sessions to equip staff and team members with the skills necessary to implement effective program plans and maintain documentation integrity.
\n
• Provide continued support through follow-up interviews and observations, ensuring that each individual receives holistic care tailored to their evolving needs.

• Act as a liaison within the mental health community, fostering relationships that contribute to program development and organizational goals.

• Assist in crafting procedures and materials for training to continually improve the quality of care provided to all clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele includes a diverse array of individuals, spanning adults, youth, families, and couples. The LPC will engage with clients facing a variety of challenges, including but not limited to mental illness, emotional distress, substance misuse, and trauma. Your ability to foster therapeutic relationships will be vital in helping these clients navigate their personal journeys towards improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Kansas.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of counseling experience is essential, preferably in a clinical context.

• Familiarity with or specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma is highly desired.

• A strong grasp of legal and ethical standards that govern mental health practice.

• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software and related technologies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in community mental health settings is preferred but not mandatory.
