Field Supervisor – General Services Location: Southeast Texas (Houston • Surrounding Areas) Position Summary The Field Supervisor – General Services is responsible for overseeing daily field operations for general service projects including building maintenance, civil work, and structural repairs. This role supervises field crews, ensures work is completed safely and efficiently, and supports estimating and project development for small to mid-size projects. The Field Supervisor works closely with operations leadership, project managers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards. Key Responsibilities Field Operations Oversee daily jobsite operations Plan and assign work to field crews Review drawings, scopes of work, and project specifications Coordinate manpower, equipment, and subcontractors Monitor project progress and adjust resources as needed Perform field walks and site assessments Assist with estimating projects typically ranging from $5,000 to $250,000 Develop material takeoffs and labor estimates Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing Support proposal development and scope writing Identify additional work opportunities and value-added services Leadership & Supervision Supervise field crews and subcontractors Provide direction and training to team members Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks Ensure company policies and procedures are followed Safety & Compliance Enforce OSHA safety standards Ensure proper use of PPE Report incidents and near misses Maintain safe and organized job sites Quality Control Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met Coordinate inspections with clients and inspectors Ensure work is completed according to plans and scope Prevent rework through proactive supervision Scheduling & Productivity Track labor hours and productivity Coordinate with project managers and operations leadership Improve efficiency and field productivity Material & Equipment Management Order and track project materials Manage company tools and equipment Minimize waste and control project costs Communication & Reporting Provide daily updates to management Submit daily field reports Attend planning and scheduling meetings Maintain strong communication with customers Qualifications 5+ years experience in construction, mechanical service, or building maintenance 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role Experience estimating small to mid-size projects preferred Ability to read plans, drawings, and scopes of work Strong communication and leadership skills Valid driver's license OSHA 30 preferred Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to climb ladders and work at heights Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Performance Expectations Maintain safe and organized job sites Deliver projects on time and within scope Maintain high quality workmanship Support company revenue growth through estimating and field leadership Oversee roofing inspections, repairs, and roof replacement projects Additional Scope Oversight Roofing Services Roof inspections and condition assessments Roof leak diagnostics and repairs Roof coating systems Roof replacement projects Coordination with roofing subcontractors Founded in 1945, Gallo Mechanical is a premier mechanical construction and service provider headquartered in New Orleans, bringing more than 80 years of experience delivering mission-critical HVAC and plumbing solutions across the southeastern United States—from Houston to the Carolinas.
