Business Development RepresentativeLocation: Washington, DC preferred | Reston, VAcandidates consideredSchedule: MondayFriday, 8:30 AM5:00 PM | NoweekendsPosition OverviewTEKsystems is seeking a Business Development Representativeto help support and grow relationships with current and prospective creditunion members.In this role, you will speak directly with members to understand their financial needs, assistwith new accounts and loan applications, and recommend banking products andservices that can improve their overall financial experience. This is a greatopportunity for someone with previous banking or credit union experience who enjoys building relationships, solvingproblems, and identifying opportunities to better serve customers.What You'll DoConnect with current and prospective members by phone, email, chat, online applications, and other communication channelsBuild relationships with members and learn about their financial needsRecommend appropriate credit union products and servicesAssist members with opening new accounts and lines of creditTake and process loan applicationsProcess account transactions and assist with account-related questionsResearch member accounts and resolve issues using internal computer systemsConduct outbound conversations with members to identify additional opportunities to support their financial needsEducate members about available products and servicesWork alongside a collaborative team of four other sales/business development professionalsWhat We're Looking ForPreferred qualifications:Previous experience working for a bank, credit union, or financial institutionKnowledge of common banking products and servicesComfortable having direct conversations with customers or members over the phoneStrong customer service and relationship-building skillsComfortable navigating computer systems and researching customer accountsAbility to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or servicesHigh school diploma or equivalentIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is someone who already understands the basics of banking and enjoystalking with people. You should be comfortable going beyond simply answering amember's question by asking the right questions, understanding their financialsituation, and identifying additional products or services that could benefitthem.If you have experience in banking or a credit unionand are looking for an opportunity that combines customer service, relationshipbuilding, and business development, we'd love to speak with you.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
