industrial Sales Engineer

Sales EngineerWe're looking for a sales engineer's role to complete the quoting process on new machining opportunities. This position will review customer requirements and determine the most cost-efficient production process for the requested parts. You will calculate cycle times, manufacturing operations, compile all appropriate costs to determine the proper selling price, prepare customer quotation and maintain corporate sales database.What You'll Do as a Sales Engineer:Develop new business opportunities to determine potential fit for organizationComplete time studies for desired manufacturing processes using various methodsCompile costs for quoted processWork with outside suppliersDetermine costs of capital equipment, work-holding, tooling, gaugingCommunicate directly with customersPrepare or supervise quote preparationsPrepare sales and engineering presentationsPerform contract reviews on new and existing purchase ordersOther tasks as assignedWhat You Get as a Sales Engineer:8-hour shiftCompetitive wages paid weeklyMedical with HSA, dental, vision, life insurance, and short-term disabilityMatching 401kPaid vacations and holidaysWhat's Required for the Sales Engineer Role:Bachelor's degree (B.S.)Eight to ten years related experience and/or trainingRead and interpret blue-prints, engineering and quality specificationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and associates.Previous experience in machining a plusPrevious experience in cost estimating.Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo/Pro-Engineer
