Job Description As a member of the Legal & Compliance group, the Legal Associate will support the firm's public capital market investment activities by reviewing, negotiating, and implementing investment‑related agreements and analyzing legal and commercial issues that arise in these contexts. The position also involves improving contracting processes and supporting the implementation of technology solutions, including AI tools, to enhance the efficiency of legal workflows. Responsibilities Primarily assist with contracting and documentation for support of Wellington's Investment Platform including documentation for fixed income and equity transactions, derivatives and non‑disclosure agreements. Serve as the primary point of contact for the Public Markets Legal team and investment professionals. Collaborate with other members of the Legal team as necessary in connection with contracting work. Assisting with complex issues arising on documentation and helping to establish controls and processes where required. Support the development and implementation of technology solutions in relation to the contracting process, including AI and Microsoft Suite Power Apps. Contribute to the development and improvement of legal processes, design and efficiency. At Wellington Management, our approach to compensation is designed to help us attract, inspire and retain the best talent in our industry. Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is: USD 80,000 – 150,000. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process. Base salary is only one component of Wellington's total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/or Incentives, if eligible.
