CNC Machinist IIITitle: CNC Machinist IIIPosition Type: Full-Time/RegularDivision: NxEdgeDepartment: ProductionLocation: NxEdge - Morgan HillJob Summary & Job DutiesSalary Range - $40.00 - $44.00 DOE Must have the personality and temperament to work as part of a team. The individual will be required to work on a variety of CNC machine tools working on all parts from simple to complex under the guidance of their supervisor and Lead.Minimum Qualifications• General housekeeping including keeping machines and work area, both clean & safe. • Willingness to assist team members especially those with less experience. • When possible, operate multiple machines to maximize production hours. • Work closely with Programmers and Engineering team on product development, processes, tooling selection and fixture design. • Monitor and replace cutting tools as needed. • Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as needed. • Responsible for using MES to accurately track production activity and monitor work queues. • Assist Lead person as needed. • Sign off Work order operations and physically move parts to next operation. • Flexible to train in other work areas as needed. • Must epitomize the Company core values: safety, excellence, and respect.Preferred Qualifications:• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Machinist. • Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and work instructions and check parts at the machine using basic measuring tools. • A working knowledge of G and M codes and a full understanding of tool offsets and cutter compensation. • Possess good communication skills which include verbal and written to interface effectively with other employees or management. • Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 35 pounds. • Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and chemicals, with protective equipment provided as needed. • Must be able to wear the necessary PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, etc.) • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. • Overtime and weekends could be required during heavy workload or to meet special customer demand.EEOC Statement: NxEdge is a subsidiary of Enpro, a leading industrial technology company focused on critical applications across many end-markets, including semiconductor, industrial process, commercial vehicle, sustainable power generation, aerospace, food and pharma, photonics and life sciences.
