Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patients' medical histories to develop effective treatment plans.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies.
• Diagnose common illnesses and chronic conditions in accordance with family medicine protocols, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians to perform therapeutic procedures, facilitating optimal health outcomes.
• Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatments to achieve desired health results.
• Maintain detailed and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Provide education to patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment protocols, and preventive health measures.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle through counseling and preventive care strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
• Engage in daily rounds, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient assessments and care transitions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a family health clinic or similar setting.
• Certain level of specialization or expertise in family medicine preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.
• Demonstrated ethical approach to patient-centered care and collaboration with healthcare teams.

• Current DEA number is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a surgical center or similar high-acuity setting.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for additional training and certifications.
