Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at Essential Healthcare Solutions, you will work on-site in a hospital setting equipped with modern technology and facilities. Our interdisciplinary team comprises physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, all committed to delivering comprehensive care. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a predictable schedule while you focus on providing exceptional medical care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and follow-up visits, accurately documenting patient histories and evaluating symptoms.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, which may involve prescribing medications, recommending lifestyle changes, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
• Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including but not limited to suturing, wound management, and joint injections.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with physicians and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective treatment transitions.
• Deliver pre-operative and post-operative support, educating patients about their treatment plans, expected outcomes, and necessary follow-up care.
• Participate in daily rounds, contributing insights and updates on patient progress during case discussions.
• Track and document patient progress, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to modify care plans as necessary and ensure continuity of care.
• Advocate for patients by educating them and their families on preventive measures, adherence to treatment plans, and health maintenance strategies.

As a PA, you will work closely with patients who may present with acute illnesses, chronic health issues, and preventative health concerns. Qualifications

• Education: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• License: A valid and unrestricted New York State PA license is mandatory.
• Certification: Board certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
• Strong clinical, assessment, and diagnostic competencies to provide quality patient care.
• Excellent communication skills that enable effective patient education and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) systems for thorough and efficient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in primary care, internal medicine, or a specialty field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience working in a hospital environment, particularly in multidisciplinary teams, will be highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
