Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, high-quality care in line with established national and community healthcare standards.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations to identify patient needs and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with office staff and healthcare providers to streamline office practices and improve patient care processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on a diverse patient population within the school setting, which includes children and adolescents, and supports their unique health needs. As part of a holistic approach, you will assess and manage acute and chronic illnesses, provide health education, and promote wellness among students and their families. You will develop tailored care plans that address growth and development considerations, ensuring that age-specific needs are met.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess current NYS certification/registration as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Must have AANP Board Certification.
• A valid DEA license is required, along with the ability to secure necessary privileges within FFTH.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is preferred to enhance clinical documentation and billing processes.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved Nurse Practitioner program is mandatory, with a commitment to maintaining ongoing education in the field.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred but not mandatory; however, a strong dedication to patient care is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

F. F. Thompson Health offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
