Pain Management Physician Assistant - Full-Time Onsite Role

Work Environment

The Surgical Center is designed to foster collaboration and communication among healthcare providers. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and support staff. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. Our facilities are equipped with advanced medical technologies, enabling high standards of care and effective patient management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnoses of chronic pain patients, identifying those who could benefit from interventional pain management procedures, including injections and minimally invasive surgeries.
• Manage chronic medications, adjusting treatment plans as necessary while maintaining effective communication with patients about their therapeutic goals.
• Prescribe medications and be adept at explaining treatment options clearly to patients and their families, ensuring they understand the implications and expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to discuss patient management strategies and contribute insights based on the latest pain management protocols.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assess patients' health statuses while employing diagnostic tools such as laboratory tests and imaging studies.
• Develop, initiate, and monitor individualized patient management plans in consultation with supervising physicians, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and safety in the Surgical Center.

This position primarily serves individuals experiencing chronic pain conditions, many of whom have complex health profiles that necessitate a holistic and empathetic approach to treatment. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Active and valid licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Physician Assistant, specifically in pain management or related fields.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A strong commitment to ethical standards and patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in interventional pain management techniques and modalities.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, improving workflow efficiency and patient tracking.
• Continuing education in pain management or related specialties is a plus.
