Work Environment

Your workplace will be located in our modern surgical center, which is designed to facilitate effective patient care and recovery. The onsite role emphasizes teamwork and open communication, allowing for seamless interaction with colleagues and specialists alike. The center operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic while ensuring our staff has the time and resources needed to excel.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in pain management, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive preventive health services, including well visits, screenings, immunizations, and management of acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Conducting detailed patient evaluations to understand their medical histories, assessing risk factors such as psychosocial and socioeconomic challenges that may impact their health.
• Ordering, performing, and interpreting various diagnostic tests, ensuring timely follow-ups on results that warrant further investigation.
• Formulating differential diagnoses prioritizing patient needs and coordinating care plans with relevant specialists to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Documenting all patient interactions accurately and maintaining detailed medical records using our electronic health record (EHR) system, enabling streamlined patient care processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on both pediatric and adult populations dealing with pain management issues. You will work directly with patients suffering from a variety of conditions, from acute injuries to chronic pain syndromes. The sensitivity and complexity of these cases demand a compassionate approach to care, ensuring that each patient feels heard and valued while receiving appropriate treatment.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• An active Physician Assistant licensure in New York State.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in pain management or a related field.
• Strong abilities in multitasking and time management, with a knack for prioritizing patient care effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients, medical professionals, and insurance providers.
• Proficient customer service skills, ensuring a positive and professional experience for all patients.

Preferred Experience
