Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients undergoing pain management treatments. Our practice encourages collaboration amongst healthcare professionals, ensuring that all staff work closely to deliver effective and patient-centered care. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in Pain Management, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients suffering from chronic pain, identifying candidates for interventional procedures, and overseeing medication management plans.
• Prescribing appropriate medications aligned with patients' therapeutic goals and providing clear explanations of treatment regimens to both patients and their families.
• Collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to formulate comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Performing comprehensive physical examinations to assess patients’ health status and reviewing both laboratory and diagnostic imaging reports to effectively diagnose conditions.
• Implementing and monitoring treatment plans in consultation with supervising physicians, ensuring adherence to established protocols and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physician Assistant will primarily work with patients suffering from a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders. This role emphasizes a holistic approach to pain management, ensuring that each patient receives tailored treatment strategies that improve their functional capacity and quality of life.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, applicants must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• An active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience, preferably in a pain management or related medical field.
• Demonstrated capabilities in patient assessment, diagnosis, and the development of comprehensive treatment plans.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to teamwork and patient advocacy.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
