Work Environment

This full-time role is set within a hospital facility in Utica, allowing you to work in a team-oriented environment with access to various support services and the latest medical technologies. The dedicated pain management clinic focuses on developing individualized care plans for each patient, and you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver cohesive healthcare solutions. The position encompasses a standard 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans alongside physicians.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as necessary to inform treatment decisions.
• Administer various medical treatments, including injections for trigger point therapy and joint pain management.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and provide detailed recommendations for effective pain management techniques.
• Monitor patient progress diligently and adjust treatment plans based on individual needs and responses.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management methods and disease prevention, facilitating an understanding of their health conditions.
• Maintain meticulous patient records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is always accessible for review.
• Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to assess and strategize patient care paths.
• Oversee patient health by tracking overall well-being and promoting healthy habits.
• Remain proactive in advancing your professional knowledge through research initiatives and clinical discussions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient population experiencing a range of pain-related conditions. This includes individuals with acute and chronic pain scenarios, requiring a compassionate and comprehensive approach to management. Building rapport with patients will be critical in enhancing their comfort and trust, ensuring they feel supported throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
• Possession of a valid DEA and NPI number.

Preferred Experience

• A proven history of working as a Physician Assistant in a variety of clinical settings such as hospitals or urgent care facilities.
• Prior experience in pain management or related fields is highly advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of health regulations and patient care standards.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex medical information to diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time role ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000, supporting your professional and personal well-being.
