Director - Veeva Validation Management Strategy

The Role

Director, Validation Management Strategy – Lead the expansion of Veeva’s Validation Management across North America, helping life sciences companies digitize and manage their Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) processes through a unified, cloud‑based platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead market expansion and growth for Validation Management within the North American life sciences portfolio.
• Provide thought leadership and strategic direction to field‑facing teams, including building and maintaining relationships with executive leadership at manufacturing sites.
• Guide product development to ensure new features address the challenges of qualifying physical assets and complex production processes.
• Develop strategy and messaging to drive customer adoption, transitioning the market from legacy document‑centric workflows to data‑centric digital validation.
• Coordinate resources across the entire customer lifecycle, from initial sales discovery through successful delivery and long‑term value realization.
• Serve as an industry evangelist by presenting at conferences, leading webinars, and authoring content for industry publications.
• Engage with technical communities of practice and manage relationships with partners.
• Partner with sales and services organizations to ensure an exceptional end‑to‑end customer experience that reflects a deep understanding of the manufacturing environment.
• Ensure execution of a risk‑based qualification approach and compliance with industry standards such as ASTM E2500, ISPE Baseline Guides, and Annex 15.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in life sciences validation with a focus on commissioning, qualification, and validation of manufacturing equipment and production processes.
• Deep technical understanding of the validation lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Verification, Acceptance & Release) for facilities, utilities, and process equipment.
• Proven ability to innovate across business processes and technology solutions, moving organizations from document‑centric to data‑centric validation models.
• Experience implementing or consulting on digital validation software, streamlining field execution, and managing the qualified state of physical assets.
• Ability to engage with engineering, quality, and IT leaders on strategic use of validation applications across the enterprise.
• Strong communication skills and ability to serve as a subject matter expert before large audiences and executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Bioengineering, Electrical, or related technical field).
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer meetings and industry presentations.
• Active participation or leadership within ISPE, PDA, or other industry technical committees.
• Direct experience with large‑scale greenfield facility start‑ups or major capital projects involving integrated commissioning and qualification.
• Previous experience in digital transformation or organizational change management within a manufacturing or quality environment.
• Experience leading global commercial or strategy teams with measurable growth outcomes.

Salary

Base pay: $125,000 – $300,000. This range is provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. The position may also be eligible for other compensation, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
