Account Technician II

Requirements / Qualifications

Must possess and maintain a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator license. *** Applicants who meet job requirements will be contacted to take the proficiency a variety of simple to moderate accounting and clerical tasks; works individually at a level of efficiency and effectiveness with minimal supervision. Assignments may shift during peak loads in order to meet deadlines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Responsible for Accounts Payable-invoices purchase orders receiving slips and similar documents. Maintain Purchase Order files and payment schedule. E Maintain current Liability spreadsheet and payment schedule. Verifies calculations on invoices purchase orders receiving slips and similar documents. Operates various office equipment. Maintains Warrant Register. Generates and processes warrant cancellation payments. Reconciles various G/L accounts to A/P.E. Assists in the maintenance of department files. Types or generates statistical data for reports. Prepares and inputs computer data. Provide assistance in other areas as related to job description. Provide backup support for Account Tech I on as needed basis. Performs related duties as required.
