Description - Your Essential Role

• Conduct both standard and complex laboratory tests-covering areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology-following established protocols for accuracy and safety.
• Evaluate test results thoroughly, address discrepancies, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist in gathering specimens and ensuring samples are prepared diligently for testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all processes, mentor new staff or students, and contribute to maintaining laboratory quality standards.
• Uphold a clean and safe workspace while following all regulatory and accreditation protocols.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Ongoing maintenance of certification during your tenure.
