Senior Accountant

Position Overview

This role sits within a corporate accounting team responsible for operational accounting and GL activity across multiple legal entities at a $3B organization. The Senior Accountant will own a broad range of month-end close responsibilities, deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, and act as a business partner to cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Own the full month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, allocations, reclassifications, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Perform flux and variance analysis on assigned income statement accounts and ensure expenses are recorded to the correct cost centers and departments
• Oversee bank reconciliations and cash activity across multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage lease accounting, corporate credit card activity, and other recurring operational accounting functions
• Process intercompany and third-party wire payments in coordination with Accounts Payable with proper GL coding
• Support SOX compliance, internal controls testing, and maintain audit-ready workpapers and documentation
• Partner with FP&A and operational teams on actuals reporting and drive process improvements within the close cycle

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in a general ledger or corporate accounting role
• Experience in month-end close, GL, journal entries, accruals and bank reconciliations
• Experience handling intercompany transactions highly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred
