Compensation & Benefits Manager

Location: Houston, TX Salary: $140,000.00 USD Annually - $165,000.00 USD Annually About the Role We are seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Senior Compensation & Benefits Manager to support the design, implementation, and administration of total rewards programs across a defined region. This role plays a key part in ensuring compensation and benefits practices are competitive, equitable, and compliant with applicable regulations, while aligning with broader organizational strategy. You will partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to provide data‑driven insights and guidance on compensation practices, reward programs, and policy governance. Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of regional compensation and benefits strategies aligned with global frameworks and local market conditions. Manage the annual compensation cycle, including salary benchmarking, merit increases, bonus administration, and promotion reviews. Provide recommendations on compensation decisions using market data, internal benchmarks, and financial analysis. Conduct pay equity analyses and ensure consistent and fair compensation practices. Analyze compensation data to assess market competitiveness and internal alignment. Participate in compensation surveys and utilize external benchmarking tools. Develop cost models and support budgeting processes related to compensation programs. Interpret data to generate insights and inform business decisions. Ensure all compensation practices comply with federal, state, and regional labor laws and regulations. Partner with legal and compliance teams to maintain adherence to internal policies and external standards. Maintain governance of compensation programs, policies, and approval processes. Support audits and ensure documentation accuracy. Evaluate and administer benefits and reward programs, including incentives, allowances, and recognition initiatives. Assess program effectiveness using utilization data, employee feedback, and market trends. Recommend enhancements to improve employee experience and cost efficiency. Serve as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on compensation‑related matters. Provide guidance on job evaluations, salary offers, and organizational changes. Educate managers and employees on compensation philosophy, programs, and policies. Contribute regional perspectives to global projects and initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 5–7+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards. Strong knowledge of compensation practices, benchmarking methodologies, and market data interpretation. Knowledge of U.S. labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, pay equity, and anti‑discrimination laws. Experience working in a large, multinational organization preferred. Proficiency in Excel and HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, SAP, or equivalent). Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Preferred Skills Experience conducting pay equity analysis and compensation modeling. Familiarity with compensation survey providers and tools. Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
