Key Responsibilities\n

As a remote mental health counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat, encouraging clients to explore and articulate their thoughts and emotions.

• Developing personalized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations of clients’ mental conditions, utilizing a solution-based approach rooted in your clinical expertise.

• Facilitating discussions that promote self-awareness and relational insights, enabling clients to define personal goals and enhance their coping strategies.

• Acting as an advocate for your clients, guiding them through their therapeutic journeys while monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will have the opportunity to work primarily with stable adults who are experiencing low-acuity mental health issues. Clients are meticulously screened prior to booking services, enabling you to focus on individuals seeking to enhance their mental well-being in a supportive environment. Additionally, you will be matched with clients based on your specialties and demographic preferences, allowing for a tailored therapeutic experience.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A completed Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current, unrestricted and fully licensed status with the state board to practice independently, which includes one of the following licenses: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, alongside a genuine compassionate nature that illustrates your commitment to client care.

• A computer literate individual who is comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic documentation systems.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience in outpatient settings, familiarity with telehealth practices, and a background in working with adult clients will be considered a strong asset. Previous roles where you have actively contributed to treatment planning and client goal setting are also desirable.
