Work Environment

This role is based in a busy outpatient office where you will engage with patients on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive patient assessments that include detailed physical examinations, medical history evaluations, and necessary diagnostic tests such as EKGs and echocardiograms.
• Work collaboratively with cardiology specialists to formulate, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans for patients with various cardiovascular disorders, ensuring holistic patient care is maintained.
• Administer medications as prescribed, diligently monitor patient responses, and be proactive in modifying treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and patient feedback.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health, emphasizing preventive measures, lifestyle modifications, and adherence to prescribed therapies to equip them with the knowledge to manage their conditions effectively.
• Provide empathetic counseling and emotional support to patients and families, recognizing the stress and anxiety that can accompany cardiovascular diseases.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse group of patients ranging from young adults to the elderly, each with unique cardiovascular health challenges. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, with a specialization related to cardiology or adult care.
• Valid New York State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• At least two years of clinical experience in cardiology or a related healthcare field.
• Demonstrated strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities in the specialty of cardiovascular medicine.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and familiarity with cardiology-specific software will be advantageous.
• Participation in healthcare initiatives focused on quality improvement in cardiovascular care is a plus.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

You will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from $150,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
