The successful candidate will report to the JASSM Development Chief Engineer programmatically and be expected to work closely with the other members of the JASSM Chief Engineering staff to ensure synergy across tasks and to communicate lessons learned, as well as other Strike Systems Chief Engineers to ensure cross program collaboration.What You Will Be Doing:As the JASSM AGM-158A/B/B-2 Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for:Providing technical leadership that enables the team to meet and demonstrate all milestones on scheduleProviding Technical and Programmatic leadership/oversight on the development enhancements for the AGM-158A, AGM-158B, and AGM-158B-2 JASSM variants across both USG and FMS customers. Providing leadership/oversight for the alternative engine engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) contractProviding leadership/oversight for the multi-year JASSM software contractsShaping the AGM-158 alternative supplier strategy and capturing development contracts to support munitions acceleration production capacitiesDeveloping a productive partnership and trusting relationship with the USG customerGuiding Engineering team, IPT leads and cross-functional teams in program planning, scheduling, trade studies, design concepts, verification, and critical life cycle reviewsEnsuring program staffing is appropriate from an E&T perspectiveCollaborating with Engineering Excellence management to ensure program milestones are successfully completedSupporting and leading program technical reviews and participating in monthly E&T meetings, staff meetings, and other critical program activitiesCommunicating lessons learned and ensuring synergy across tasks with the entire Chief Engineer staffBasic QualificationsHave a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, with existing professional experienceTen years of experienceExperience and demonstrated skillset with Missile systems design and developmentMust possess ability to plan and lead the technical teams/efforts associated with Complex Missile SystemsCandidate will be required to communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the USG customerMust be available for occasional domestic travelCandidate must have a Secret clearance and be able to obtain program level clearanceDesired SkillsAn advanced degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is desiredPrior experience at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is highly desiredCandidate should have wide experience/familiarity in collaborating with the Engineering & Technology functional organizationAbility to interface with the USG Customer office and global supply baseAbility to support technical reviews internally, with the customer, and external stakeholders, and at supplier locationsExperience in leading Failure Analysis and Failure Review BoardsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
