The Bussey Law Firm, P.C. in Colorado Springs, CO, US is seeking a talented Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This position will also include duties handling some criminal cases. Responsibilities:- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and briefs for court filings.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Organize and maintain case files, including indexing and tracking documents.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
- Draft correspondence and demand letters and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Intake prospective clients and open files.
- Review medical records.
- File pleadings.
- Strong knowledge of legal research and drafting legal documents.
- Proficient in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Previous legal experience.
Admitted to the Bar in 1991, Timothy Bussey is an experienced criminal and civil trial lawyer who has been a prosecutor, defense attorney, Active-Duty Judge Advocate with the US Air Force, and a District Attorney in El Paso and Teller County. His knowledge of criminal law can help you through the often-confusing process of being charged and arrested with felonies, drug crimes, and misdemeanors on or off military bases. Timothy Bussey’s experience as an Active-Duty Judge Advocate has also allowed him to provide skilled criminal defense to defendants charged on military bases, including Fort Carson, Peterson, Cheyenne Mountain, Schriever Air Force Base, and the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA).
