The CorporateStaffAccountant/Sr. Accountant will be handling the day-to-day accounting activities and month-end financial reporting requirementswhile beingactively involved in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes. The position requires a strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounting functions from both a detailed and big-picture perspective. The Corporate StaffAccountant will be involved in analyzing certain transactions—such as accruals, capitalizedsoftwareand share-based compensation—to ensure proper journal entries are recorded and taking an active role in monthly close and in preparation of monthly financial statements. The CorporateStaffAccountant/Sr. Accountant will be involved in financial audits and berequiredto perform financial analyses and other ad hoc projects when necessary. The ideal candidate will have the right mix of technical accounting, general ledger accounting, financial analysis, and communication skills to enable this person to communicate effectively with functional departments and collaborate with staff at all levels across various functions. WhoYou’llBe Working With: This role will work closely with and report directly to theManager of Operations.However, you will also collaborate closely with multiple departments within VIVIO, as well as external clients and vendors. Job Description Active involvement in day-to-day operational accounting activities Assistsin the preparation of financial reports and analysis for internal and external use Prepares monthly and quarterly reconciliations Develops and implements processes with focus on automation, scalability, and efficiency to streamline accounting methods and increase productivity Serve as a finance partner to HR and work closely with our PEO- collaborating on payroll changes, benefits administration, PTO tracking, headcount planning, new hire setup, terminations, benefits reconciliation, and compensation reporting. Reconcile payroll liabilities including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions Takes an active role in month / quarter / year-end closing processes Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls Assistwith the preparation of the annual budget and forecast Work with the finance leader on federal, state, and local tax filingsand registrationsin partnership with external tax advisors, keeping track of deadlines and filing status Assistwith equity compensation accounting, including stock options and RSUs Surface issues, risks, and discrepancies proactively Performs special projects and studies on accounting and control matters as requested Qualifications ExperienceYou’llNeed (Required): Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business administrationrequired. 2+year experience in financial reporting and/or general accounting Strong knowledge of US GAAP Requires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, andtheability to work independently and in teams Good oral and written communication skillsrequired Excellent time management,planningand organizational skills Ability to work in a remote environment. Ability to prioritize multipletasks andanticipateand solve problems. Ability to analyze problems and multiple alternate solutions to be able to quickly make decisions. Ability to develop practices, workflows, and policies. Preferred Qualifications: CPA, or working towards CPA license Prior experience in the PBM or healthcare industry.
