• Support specimen collection efforts and prepare samples for examination as required.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new staff and trainees, ensuring the lab maintains high-quality standards.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment, complying with all regulatory and accreditation mandates.

Education Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications Needed

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within a year of employment.
• Maintain active certification throughout your tenure.
