Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, manage the month-end close process, ensure accurate financial reporting, and lead a small accounting team on a contract basis. This role will partner closely with leadership to support financial accuracy, process improvements, and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and internal controls
- Support payroll-related accounting activities, including payroll accruals, reconciliations, and month-end reporting
- Supervise and develop accounting staff
- Assist with audits, budgeting, and forecasting
- Identify and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting
- Exposure to payroll accounting, including payroll reconciliations and accruals
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills
- CPA preferred but not required
