Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in specialty License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required Must-Have: - Must have experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing. - Must work at least every other holiday. - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment are required during the orientation with a passing score. Description: Join a dynamic team in the neuro stepdown specialty. This position involves working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty. Experience in progressive care is preferred but not required. A permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license is required at the time of submission. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory. Candidates must have acceptable references from a manager or supervisor in the specialty. All required certifications must be active and valid at submission. Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free requirements temporarily. Travelers must pass an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment with acceptable scores during orientation. Those who do not pass after two attempts will be canceled. Background checks will be conducted, and any open cases will not be accepted. Candidates unable to comply with annual competencies will be considered non-compliant and removed from the schedule. This opportunity allows for extensions of up to 18 months, with a subsequent six-month break required. Annual hands-on competency and other training modules may be required as part of ongoing education.
