Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for is required. License: Must hold a permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at the time of submission. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required and must be active at the time of submission. Must-Have: - 12 months of experience in the specialty applying for. - Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. - Must work at least every other holiday. - ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment must be completed during orientation with acceptable scores. Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Step Down care. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care. The nurse may potentially float to units with similar patient populations as needed. Rotating shifts include night and day schedules. The facility will ensure that travelers' preferred shifts are honored but retains the right to rotate shifts for operational needs. Candidates must have completed certain assessments during orientation, including ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate. Travelers should expect to maintain compliance with set health and safety standards. Nurses will receive support in their ongoing education and competency requirements while employed in this role.
